Ken MacKenzie

Kenneth Purvis "Ken" MacKenzie (born March 10, 1934) is a Canadian former relief pitcher in Major League Baseball. He played for the Milwaukee Braves (1960–61), New York Mets (1962–63), St. Louis Cardinals (1963), San Francisco Giants (1964), and Houston Astros (1965). MacKenzie is a member of the Yale Class of 1956. While at Yale, MacKenzie lettered in hockey and baseball.

MacKenzie was an original Met, and led the staff with a winning record, 5–4, on a team that lost 120 games in 1962.

Manager Casey Stengel was quoted that MacKenzie was a great kid. "He's a splendid young fella with a great education from Yale University. His signing with us makes him the lowest paid member of the class of Yale '56."
