Patrick Jay Toomay (born May 17, 1948) is a former American football defensive end who played 10 years in the National Football League for four different teams: the Dallas Cowboys, the Buffalo Bills, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Oakland Raiders. He played college football for Vanderbilt University and was drafted in the sixth round of the 1970 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He is the author of books about professional football, including: The Crunch and the novel On Any Given Sunday.
