1887 Allen and Ginter N28 Reprint Baseball Cards

The Allen & Ginter N28 and N29 sets combine to feature the most popular turn-of-the-century athletes. The reprinted N28 and N29 Allen & Ginter baseball cards were published by the Card Collector’s Company and are slightly larger ( 1 5/8” x 2 ¾”) than the original set. The Allen & Ginter N28 set consists of 50 cards that are printed on a cream background with color illustrations of baseball players, rowers, boxers, and wrestlers. The N29 Allen & Ginter cards are the second series with the same number and type of cards that was printed in response to the success of the N28 set. It would cost more than $25,000 to rebuild each original Allen & Ginter N28 and N29 sets if you could find them.
