Vito Tamulis

Vitautis Casimirus Tamulis (July 11, 1911 – May 5, 1974) was an American left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Phillies and Brooklyn Dodgers from 1934 to 1941. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he died at age 62 in Nashville, Tennessee.

He began his professional baseball career with the Chambersburg Young Yanks of the Blue Ridge League in 1930. He made his major league debut with the New York Yankees late in the 1934 season. During his last playing season in 1951, he was also the manager of the Hopkinsville Hoppers of the Kentucky-Illinois-Tennessee League. The Hoppers qualified for postseason play in 1951, but lost in the first round.
