1954 Dan-Dee Potato Chips Baseball Cards
The 1954 Dan Dee baseball cards were originally distributed in bags of potato chips, therefore their wax finish is often tarnished by grease stains. The 29 card set depicts players from the Cleveland Indians, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees, Brooklyn Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and New York Giants. The cards measure approximately 2 1/2" x 3 5/8" and feature a skillful artist's depiction of the player. Printed below the picture is the player's name, a facsimile of their autograph and the Dan-Dee logotype. The 1954 Dan Dee baseball cards are unnumbered.
Paul Smith, Walker Cooper, and Frank Thomas are considered to be very scarce cards in this set.
