1962 Topps Bucks Baseball Cards
The 1962 Topps Bucks consists of 96 "Baseball Bucks," which are designed to look like an American dollar bill, only smaller and with a depiction of a baseball player instead of an American Patriot. The "Baseball Bucks" were printed on thin green paper and measure approximately 1 3/4" x 4 1/8" inch. In addition to the depiction of the player, the Topps Baseball Bucks included a short biography, a facsimile autograph, and a drawing of the player's home ballpark. On the back, the player's team name and league affiliation is also included.
The "Baseball Bucks" were originally sold in their own packaging and, ironically, cost a penny. The star cards included in the 1962 Topps Baseball Bucks series are Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente, Sandy Koufax, Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays.
