Starter Sets
Starter Sets are a great way to buy large quantities of cards at an affordable price. Dean's Cards Starter Sets are all priced 25% to 75% lower than if you purchased the cards individually. On top of the already discounted prices, our quantity discount still applies! This is the easiest and most cost effective way to start a set or add to your collection. Starter Sets also make a great gift!
Our Pre-1972 Topps starter sets are built by hand from the DeansCards.com inventory are all priced 25% to 50% lower than if you purchased the cards individually. Each Pre-1972 starter set comes with a detailed invoice of the cards, along with the card's listed price, so you can clearly see the individual value of the cards and the saving that the set offers. Every card in the 1957 to 1971 Topps starter sets are in the condition listed. For example, every card in a starter set graded "Excellent" will be in "Excellent" condition. There will be no other grades.
The 1972 to 1979 Topps Starter Sets are priced 40% to 70% lower than if you purchased the cards individually. These sets are not built from the online inventory, so they do not include an invoice. The condition may vary, but will average the listed condition. For example, an a lot listed as "Excellent" condition, will have some cards that grade a grade higher and some that are one grade lower.
If you are considering buying multiple Starter Sets from the same year please be advised that there will be duplicate cards. For example if you purchase a 100 card "common" lot and a 100 card "semi-star" lot, you will have duplicates. To avoid duplicates you would need to order one 200 card Semi-Star lot.
Please note that Starter Sets are the only product we sell that cannot be returned due to the labor involved in building them.
