1933 DeLong Gum (R333) Baseball Cards
The 1933 DeLong Gum (R333) baseball card set was issued by DeLong Gum company of Boston, Massachusetts and consists of 24 cards. The cards have a striking design that features a black and white player photograph set in front of a colorful baseball stadium background. The scene behind the subject includes smaller players running around a baseball diamond, a crowded ballpark and clouds rising from behind the stadium. The bottom of the card features a colorful panel that includes the player's name and team printed in bold font.
The backs of the cards include detailed playing tips for young, aspiring baseball players that were written by Austen Lake, who was a Boston sportswriter. The backs are also numbered and include a message from DeLong Gum.
