1936 National Chicle Premiums (R311) Baseball Cards

The 1936 National Chicle Premiums (R311) were produced by the National Chicle Company of Cambridge, Massachusetts.  The 6" x 8" photographs of the popular stars and players of the era are blank-backed and unnumbered.  The unique feature to this set is the 1936 Premiums come in either a "glossy" finish or a "leather" finish.  The "glossy finish" subset contains 28 cards and the "leather finish" subset has 15.  Due to a smaller population, the "leather finish" cards are more expensive to purchase today.
