1911-16 T216 Peoples Tobacco Baseball Cards
The 1911-16 T216 Peoples Tobacco Baseball Cards Set was produced by the Peoples Tobacco Company of New Orleans, from 1911 to 1916. There are numerous variations, mainly due the players changing teams during the years that the set was printed. The T216 cards are very simular to E90-1 and E92s in design and were distributed on a regional basis, making them very scarce today.
The T216 cards are 1-1/2" x 2-5/8" in size and feature players from the American, Federal and National Leagues. The Peoples Tobacco cards are unnumbered and were printed on thick paper stock with a glossy finish. Three brand ads found on backs of the T216 cards are: Kotton, Mino & Virginia Extra.
