1920 W520 Baseball Cards
The 1920 W520 set consists of 20 strip-cards with blank backs, which each measuring 1 3/8" x 2 1/4", when cut from the strip. The issuer of the set is unknown, but the cards were supplied in two 10-card strips to grocery and candy stores. The cards were available to be purchased as a set, but most cards were hand-cut from the strips, usually by the kids who bought the candy.
The W520 strip cards can be identified by the location of the card number in the lower-right corner. The near-identical W522 strip cards, has the card number in the lower left corner. The 1920 W520 Strip card set features 7 future members of baseball's Hall-of-Fame, led by #13 Babe Ruth.
