1961 Topps 1961 Topps Baseball Low Number Complete Set - 7 (NM)

The 1961 Low Number Complete Set includes cards #1 - #522, which is every card in the first six series. The seventh series (523-589) is not included. The Topps Low Number Set contains every major and minor star card in the set, with the exception of #545 Hoyt Wilhelm. Low number sets are very popular with collectors on a budget because it is possible to obtain the majority of the set for a fraction of the price and still get almost all of the popular players.

The front of each card in the 1961 set contains a color photograph of the player with the player's name, position, and team at the bottom of the card. The reverse features the player's biographical information and statistical history.

For the first time, Topps included a sub-series called League Leaders and also included separate numbered check lists. Other sub series in this set are the World Series Cards, Baseball Thrills, and MVP's of the 1950's.

The Important rookie cards for 1961 Topps set are: Juan Marichal, Ron Santo, and Billy Williams.
