Open Stock Cards 

The cards of the common players for the years 1972 and newer are listed as "OPEN STOCK"

Due to the huge size of the 1970’s inventory and since most of the mid 1970’s cards sell for a low price - it is not cost effective for us to sleeve, grade and inventory the common players from these years. To keep the price affordable, we decided to make these years "Open Stock". All this means is these cards are not actually counted. We check for the cards when the order comes in.

We have thousands of these cards and should be able to fill most of your order, but we may be missing a few cards. We usually have several of the cards in Excellent and Excellent/Mint Condition and less of the Near Mint Condition cards. Many of the higher priced star cards show the actual inventory. We only use "Open Inventory" method for the cards from 1972 and newer. The inventory from 1971 and older is the actual card count that we have on-hand.

Please feel free to give us specific instructions in the comments section of your order.An example would be, " I ordered Near Mint - but please give me the best available, but not lower than Excellent". Dean’s Cards will adjust the price. (Please note that because of the secure website, it is only possible for us to adjust the price down - not up.)
