The 1955 Topps set contains 206 cards and is the first set in which cards were horizontally oriented. Each card features a large "head" shot and a smaller full length photo of the player, both in color. There is also a facsimile of the player's signature on the card front.

The key rookie cards in this set include: Roberto Clemente, Harmon Killebrew, and Sandy Koufax.

Cards numbered 175, 186, 203, and 209 do not exist.

The cards in this set range in grade from Fair up to Excellent, but the vast majority grade somewhere between Good and Very Good in grade.  Approximately 80% of the cards in this set grade Good - Very Good, with 10% grading higher and 10% grading lower.
