1954 Red Heart 1954 Red Heart Dog Food Complete Set

The 1954 Red Heart Baseball Card Set consists of three series of eleven unnumbered cards, for a total of 33 cards. Each series in this 1954 Red Heart set has a specific color background- red, green, or blue behind a color photo of each player (the red background cards are the most rare).  

This 1954 Red Heart Baseball Card Set were issued via a mail-in offer through the makers of Red Heart dog food. The cards were still available to those who requested them as recently as the early 1970's.

The cards in this set average Excellent-Excellent/Mint in condition.  Only one card grades less than Excellent and it is Al Rosen, as this card exhibits paperloss on the bottom right corner.  This is the only card that exhibits significant wear, and we are working towards replacing it.

#13 Ralph Kiner: Excellent/Mint

#14 Ted Kluszewzki: Near Mint

#18 Mickey Mantle: Excellent/Mint

#23 Musial: Excellent

#29 Duke Snider: Excellent

 

Side Note: Neither Mantle or Musial appeared the in 1954 Topps Set, and Musial was not in the 1954 Bowman set either.
