This is a listing for a Built To Order set. DeansCards.com has 1.5 million cards online, and nobody builds or sells more T-Card sets, E-Card sets, and complete sets than DeansCards.com.
These sets are built to order, and will be constructed to the collector’s precise specifications. We can build most of these sets from inventory, but we may be required to go out and purchase a few cards. That said, the time to build, the condition, and the price may vary. The T207, also commonly known as the brown background set, was manufactured by the tobacco industry giant, the American Tobacco Company, in 1912. Shortly after this set was printed, the American Tobacco Company would be dissolved due to a monopoly on tobacco.
The T207 baseball cards measure 1½” by 2-5/8”. There are 200 cards total, six of which have variations that range from differences in cap color to the wrong back. One important aspect of the T207 is that there are no major stars. However, that does not mean that there are not expensive cards within this set.
Card #105 Irving Lewis has an A and B variation and both have very low populations. The A variation shows the original Boston Braves logo, while the B variation does not have a logo on his sleeve. Card #112 Louis Lowdermilk is the most expensive card in the set. Lowdermilk played only two years in the major leagues as a pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. Buck Weaver, one of the key players in the Black Sox scandal, is another expensive card in this set.
This is a listing for a Good-Very Good T207 Complete set. The cards in this set are going to vary in grade from Fair up to Excellent, but the majority are going to grade in the Good to Very Good range. At this time, we have around 20% of the cards that we need to complete this set, in-stock. Once purchased, we will go and purchase the remaining cards to complete this set. Depending on the availability of the cards, it could take anywhere from several months to 1 year+ to complete this set. We can accommodate requests for graded cards, as well as the omission of certain cards and variations.
