The 1966 Topps Batman Black Bat set consists of 55 cards total, each measuring 2 ??\r\nby 3 ??.
By the time Topps issued the first series, the Batman television franchise was well-established, leading Topps to enjoy great success in its show-related card production.
Card fronts feature painted artwork from Norman Saunders, a hobby icon who also painted several other trading card sets including the 1962 Topps Mars Attacks, and Bob Powell. Much of the set sees Batman and Robin fighting some of the franchise's most notorious villains, such as the Joker, Catwoman, the Riddler, and Penguin.
Card backs have an extensive write-up. The right side of the card depicts Batman running forward, similar to the opening credits of the show. The top left corner houses the Batman logo and card number.
This Near Complete Set / Lot contains no duplicate cards.
