The 1974 Topps set contains 660 cards. The front of the card features either a portrait or action shot of the player surrounded by a white border. On the top and bottom are colorful banners containing team name and city. The reverse provides facts about the player, his career statistics, and a small cartoon. Sub-series in this set include: Hank Aaron Special cards (#'s 2-6), All-Star cards (#'s 331-339), and Rookie cards (#'s 596-608).

The 1974 Topps Traded Baseball Card Set contains 43 cards and an unnumbered checklist. The cards were included as inserts along with the 1974 Topps Baseball Cards. The card fronts feature the player's photo with the word Traded in red lettering against a yellow panel at the bottom. The card back has a newspaper design featuring Baseball News which gives the details of the trade. The 1974 Topps Traded card numbers are the same as the player's card in the main 1974 Topps set but with a T following the number.

The set was obtained through private collection and centering does appear to be representative of the factory's production year. This 1974 Topps Baseball complete set grades in 4VG/EX. Expect cards to show wear consistent with overall set grade including edge/corner wear and the occasional paper wrinkle. Most cards do not show major flaws such as heavy creasing or stains. Centering varies, but appears consistent with the factory's production year.
