The 1981 Fleer set was Fleer's first issue since 1963. This set contains 660 cards that have white borders grey and yellow backs. The cards are grouped in team order and ranked by their 1980 standings. The first cards are of the World Champion Phillies. Cards 638-660 feature specials and checklists.

This 1981 Fleer Baseball complete set grades in 7.0 Near Mint condition. This set was Fleer's return to the baseball card market and inaugural modern set run.  Cards show some minor handling, but overall are in very nice condition. The individual card conditions vary mostly between 6.0 EXMT - 8.0 NMMT  Few, if any, major flaws are present such as creasing, cards (including team cards, checklists), etc. As with any large set, expect some individual cards to grade higher and some lower than the overall set grade.
