The 1941 R164 War Gum Almost Complete set consists of the majority of the 132 cards, each measuring 2 by 3 1/8.  Card fronts feature full-color drawings, while backs have descriptions of the events pictured.

These cards were very similar to Gum, Inc.'s Horrors of War cards released in 1938.  However, the images are much tamer and focus more on the bravery of the allied soldiers than the atrocities of the enemy.  These cards depict various war events, generals, and heroes.
This set was the last of the bubble gum card series to be issued in the United States before the war effort cut off all supplies of essential materials.  The set began distribution in 1941 and continued well into 1942.  The timing of the series allowed Gum, Inc. to cover many of the current events of the war, report actions of the first American heroes, and spotlight Allied leaders.
