The 1952 Bowman Large Football Near Complete Set consists of many of the 144 cards, each measuring 2 1/2" by 3 3/4". These cards were simply an enlarged version of the 1952 Bowman Small Football set. Cards were printed on 36-card printing sheets.
Card fronts featured un-embellished artwork with a pennant-shaped caption block. Card backs feature a short biography and a few lines of statistics from previous seasons. The card number can be found in the upper left corner, just below the player's name. The player's team and position are located to the right of the card number.
All teams included in the set are represented by their coach, allowing collectors to pick up cards of notable coaches who otherwise wouldn't have had many available mainstream cards. College logos were also included on the card fronts for rookie players, while their professional teams were listed on the back of the card.
This almost complete set contains no duplicate cards.
