This Near Complete Set of 1950 Callahan Hall of Fame cards contains the many of the 61 cards contained in the standard set. The cards were created by B.E. Callahan, who was also the publisher of Who's Who in Baseball. Each card measures 1 1/2 by 2 1/2.
The 1950 Callahan Hall of Fame set was produced from 1950 to 1956 and sold at the Baseball Hall of Fame Museum in New York. The cards were also sold at major league ballparks. New cards were added each year as players were inducted into the Hall of Fame. The cards that were added after 1950 are harder to find and considered short-prints. Neither these short-printed cards or the box, that contained the cards, is included in the set.
