The 1948 Leaf Football Card Set features both college and professional players. These cards were issued in two different series, with the second series (50-98) being more difficult and expensive to collect.

This set was the first time in 13 years that a mainstream football set was available, meaning all cards are considered rookie cards, even if it does not mark a player's debut to the sport.
