This 1951 Bowman Complete Baseball Card Set contains all 324 cards and was the high water mark of the Bowman Gum Company. This was the most cards that the Bowman Gum Co. would ever issue in a set. By the following season, Jacob Bowman sold his company and Topps Gum Company issued their first major baseball card set.
The highlight of the 1951 Bowman Set are the rookie cards of #253 Mickey Mantle and #305 Willie Mays. The high number series consists of cards #253 to #324. The 1951 Bowman set also features the #1 Whitey Ford Rookie Card and the #165 Ted Williams, his last true Bowman card.
