The 1953 Bowman Black & White Almost Complete Baseball Set includes cards that measure 2 in. by 3 in. The 1953 Bowman Black & White baseball cards feature the same basic design of color cards issued the same year. The B&W cards were originally supposed to be the last series in the color set, but Bowman switched to Black & White photos to reduce costs.
The 1953 Bowman Black & White cards are generally more difficult to find than their color counterpart and more expensive. The B&W contains five players or managers that were eventually inducted into baseball's Hall-of-Fame.
Purchased separately the cards in this set have a break-up value of $2,410.00.
