This 1963 Topps New York Mets Team Set contains the 1963 Topps Mets baseball cards and makes a great gift for any Mets fan. The second year 1963 Mets were the first to show up on Topps cards in Mets uniforms and hats. The team showed slight improvement to 51 wins over the 1962 Mets, but were still considered lovable losers and the opposite of Yankee dominance in New York. This 1963 Topps New York Mets Team Set is packed with over-the-hill stars from the great Yankees and Dodgers teams of the late 1950s. Unfortunately, for Mets fans - Gil Hodges, Duke Snider, Gene Woodling, Charlie Neal, Roger Craig and even Casey Stengel were at the end of the line.
