Seattle Pilots Team Sets

Seattle Pilots Team Sets

Choose from one of Dean's Cards Seattle Pilots Team Sets. Many of today's fans do not realize that Seattle's 1st major league team was the Pilots - not the Mariners.  Popularized by Jim Bouton's book "Ball Four", the hapless Pilots were  under-financed and forced to play in the rundown Sicks Stadium.

The Seattle Pilots were established as an expansion team in 1969, but only spent only one season in Seattle, before to Milwaukee and became the Brewers in just prior to the 1970 season.  Fortunately for collectors, Topps produced Seattle Pilots baseball cards in both 1969 and 1970 - allowing hobbyists to collect Seattle Pilots Team Sets from two years, instead of just one.  These are among the most popular vintage cards, from ""lost" teams, in the hobby.
