The fronts of the 1957 Topps Space trading cards have color illustrations of space stations, astronauts, and futuristic lunar cities. The bright blue backs document the illustrations on the on the front, as well actual events of the day pertaining to space travel. For example, the first card in the set, Sputnik 1, chronicles the October 4th 1957 launch of the earth's first satellite.
