This is a 1934-36 Diamond Starts Complete Set w/High Numbers, that contains cards #1 to #108. We also offer a Complete, or Almost Complete Set, which excludes these expensive high numbers.
The Diamond Stars Baseball Card Set was produced by National Chicle. The Diamond Stars cards are 2 3/8" by 2 7/8" in size and were issued continuously from 1934 to 1936, which created numerous variations. While the Diamond Stars Set has 108 different players featured on cards, the master set contains 170 cards. The variations have the same card front, but the backs differ slightly. Either by updated statistics and or a different color of print.
The card fronts feature color representations of photographs against art deco backdrops. 1934-36 Diamond Stars card backs include either a player bio or playing tips. Cards can also be found with blue or green lettering on the back. The last twelve cards in the set are repeat players and are found in very limited numbers.
