This 1949 Leaf Football Card Near Complete Set includes many of the 49 cards that measure 2 3/8" by 2 7/8" in size, and this 1949 Leaf Football Partial Complete Set contains the majority of the cards from this set.
Being the only football card set issued that year, the 1949 Leaf football cards were issued in two different series. The cards contain numbers ranging from #1 to #150. Sold in nickel packs that contained 5 cards and a stick of gum, the 1949 Leaf cards used grey card stock and stated "Copyright 1949" on the backs of the cards.
