This 1965 Topps Embossed
Complete Set consists of 72 of the most unique vintage insert cards ever
produced. It has 36 players from each league. One embossed card was
inserted into each 1965 Topps pack of regular cards. The 1965 Topps
Embossed Insert cards, each measuring 2 1/8” by 3 ½”, are the same height as
the standard baseball card, but not quite as wide.
With its unique design, the 1965 Topps Embossed baseball cards can be easily identified by the raised profile of the player and gold foil, both of which make the embossed cards prone to scratching. For this reason the set is very condition sensitive. The 1965 Topps Embossed cards have blue backgrounds for the American League, and red for the National League players.
The 1965 Topps Embossed Baseball Card Set is very affordable, when compared to other insert sets of the era, and even more so when the cards are in low or mid-grade condition. With 20 of the 72 players in the Baseball Hall-of-Fame, the 1965 Topps Embossed Insert Set is also loaded with stars.
