With its unique design, the 1965 Topps Embossed baseball cards can be easily identified by the raised profile of the player and  gold foil, both of which make the embossed cards prone to scratching.  For this reason the set is very condition sensitive.   The 1965 Topps Embossed cards have blue backgrounds for the American League, and red for the National League players.  The players' name is listed below his portrait.
