This 1970 Topps Baltimore Orioles Team Set contains 41 cards and makes a great gift for any Orioles fan. Managed by Earl Weaver, the 1970 Orioles went 108-54 and won the AL East, then took the pennant and beat the Reds in five games to win the World Series. Boog Powell won the AL MVP.
The four Hall-of-Famers in the set are #148 Earl Weaver (Inducted as a Manager), #230 Brooks Robinson, #449 Jim Palmer and #700 Frank Robinson. The set also includes fan favorite #410 Boog Powell, the fan favorite #451 Boog Powell All-Star card, the All-Star cards of #455 Brooks Robinson and #463 Frank Robinson, #68 AL ERA Leaders with Jim Palmer, and the four 1969 AL Playoff cards, #199 through #202. The high number cards included in this team set are: #638 Frank Bertaina, #656 Jim Hardin, #674 Dave Leonhard, #700 Frank Robinson and #717 Tom Phoebus. The set features two Orioles Rookies cards, #121 (Fred Beene and Terry Crowley) and #477 (Al Severinsen and Roger Freed).
