This 1968 Detroit Tigers Team Set has most of the cards of the 1968 Tigers Team that ran away with the AL Pennant. The 1968 Tigers won 103 games, and then beat the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series in seven games. 1968 was the 'Year of the Pitcher and Denny McLain won 31 games and took home both the AL Cy Young and MVP awards. Tigers Manager Mayo Smith surprised everyone by starting Mickey Stanley at SS in the World Series the 1968 World Series Hero was Mickey Lolich who won 3 games and was named the MVP of the series.
