1972 Topps Boston Red Sox Near Team Set 3 - VG
This 1972 Topps Boston Red Sox Near Team Set contains the majority of the 1972 Topps Red Sox baseball cards and makes a great gift for any Red Sox fan. The 1972 Red Sox missed the AL East title by half a game, finishing 2nd with an 85-70 record. A players' strike cancelled the opening week of the season, and the cancelled games were never made up, so Boston played one fewer game than the division-winning Tigers. Carlton Fisk won the AL Rookie of the Year Award and Sparky Lyle led the league with 35 saves for the Yankees.
