1968 Topps St. Louis Cardinals Team Set

Year 1968
Manufacturer Topps
Team Cardinals

NM - 7

This is a 1968 Topps St. Louis Cardinals Team Set.  The Cardinals rolled to their 2nd straight N.L. Pennant, and on to the World Series, behind the pitching of Bob Gibson.  The 1968 season was known as the year of the pitcher and Gibson lead the way The major problem in collecting 1967 Topps baseball card team sets is that the set has a lot of short-printed cards, which were printed in low quantities and are very expensive. Quite often these expensive cards are of unknown players, who had very short major league careers. For this reason, we have removed these cards, and they are not consdered as part of the standard team sets, but can be purchased seperately.

The following card is omitted: #278 Checklist 4 - Orlando Cepeda RT and #278 Checklist 4 - Orlando Cepeda LFT
