This 1972 Topps Football Low Number Complete Set includes the first 263 cards of the set, from Series 1 & 2.  The 1972 Topps football cards measure 2½" by 3½".  The two subsets in the low number set are the League Leaders (1-8) and the 1971 Playoff Highlights (133-139).  The 1972 Topps Football Low Number Set gives you the majority of the set, including almost of all the stars, for a fraction of the price of a complete set.

Series 3 of the 1972 Topps Football Card Set (cards 263 to 351) is NOT included in this low number set.  Many collectors will start with the a 1972 Topps Low Number set and add the football cards of the 3rd series over time.  The 3rd Series of the 1972 Topps football card set is the toughest main stream, post-war football card series to complete, and is very expensive, when compared to the cards of Series 1 & 2.  Very few of the 3rd Series of cards were made available to stores in 1972, and most of the Series 3 cards in circulation today did not hit the market until years later. For this reason, the majority of the Series 3 cards are still in pack fresh condition.

The 1972 Low Number Football Card Set includes the rookie cards for 7 of the 8 players future Hall-of-Fame contained in the set.  The seven Rookie Hall-of-Famers included in Series 1 & 2 of the 1972 Topps Football Card Set are: #13 John Riggins, #93 Ted Hendricks, #104 Ron Yary, #157 Emmitt Thomas, #186 Gene Upshaw, #200 Roger Staubach, #240 Larry Little and #244 Charlie Joiner.
