The 1954 Topps World on Wheels set originally consisted of 160 cards; however, cards #161-180 were added to ensure the set included the "new" 1954 models of popular cards. The 20 short-printed cards are significantly more difficult to find than the original 160 cards. Each card measures 2 5/8” by 3 ¾”.
Detailed artwork depict different types of automobiles. The make, model, and year of the car are stated on the front of the cards.
Card backs include the card number, title, a description of the respected vehicle, and a boxed "World on Wheels" historical drawing and short anecdote. The backs of cards #1-170 are printed in red and white, while cards #171-180 are printed in both red and blue color schemes.
This 50 card Starter Set / Lot is a great way to start collecting 1954 World on Wheels cards.
