This 1959 You'll Die Laughing Almost Complete Set consists of the majority of the 66 standard size cards, which measure 2 1/2" by 3 1/2". The 1959 You'll Die Laughing cards were the first monster set and were created from the imagination of Jack Davis, of EC Comics and MAD magazine fame.
The cards offended mothers and even even started some public protest, which increased the popularity of the 1959 Topps You'll Die Laughing cards, causing them to sell out across the nation. Topps was a bit concerned about the backlash of the angry moms, so they produced the cards under the name of Bubbles, Inc. The 1959 You'll Die Laughing set was so popular, that it spawned sequel sets in 1973 and 1980, as well as several copy cat sets.
