This 1958 Topps Variation Complete Set includes 40 variations not found in the standard complete set. This 1958 Topps Variation Set along with the 1958 Topps Complete Set, will give you a 1958 Topps Complete Master Set. The variations in the 1958 Topps Baseball Card Set are some of the toughest in the hobby to assemble and are seldom seen as a set. The 1958 Topps Variations include:
• 18 "Yellow Name" variations that have the player's name in yellow letters, instead on the more common white letters.
• 14 "Yellow Team" variation cards, with the team name in yellow letters, instead of the more common white letters. One of which is Roberto "Bob" Clemente.
• The 4 team cards, with the names on the back in numerical order, instead of the typical alphabetical arrangement.
• The Dave Sisler Corrected Version, without the green box above "Sox".
• The unnumbered 1958 Topps Bazooka Contest card.
•The unnumbered 1958 Topps Felt Emblems Offer card.
•The "red triangle" variation of the #13 Billy Hoeft card.
The only variation that is not included is the extremely rare #433 Pancho Herrera variation card, which is so rare that it is price prohibitive to include and is not even considered as part of the 1958 Topps Master Set. Very few collectors in the hobby can make the claim of having completed this extremely tough 1958 Topps Complete Master Set.
Purchased separately the cards in this set have a break-up value of $8,885.00.
The following card is not considered as part of the 1958 Topps Baseball Variation set as it is so rare and expensive. This card is not even considered to be part of the Mast Set: #433 Pancho Herrera ERR and #433 Pancho Herrera COR
