This 1971 Fleer World Series Complete Set contains 68 standard size cards, outlining each of the past World Series from 1903 to 1970. The cards are horizontally oriented, and feature the artwork of Robert Laughlin on the front, and a short essay in black print on the back.
The 1971 Fleer World Series Baseball Card Set was printed intermittently, up until 1980, with additional cards featuring the World Series, played from 1971 to 1977.. These additional 7 cards are numbered #69 to #75, bringing the total number of cards in the set up to 75. These short-printed cards, which can be purchased separately, were printed in far fewer numbers and can easily cost as much as the 68-card standard set.
