This 1974 Topps Washington NAT'L LEA Variation Complete Set has all 15 of the San Diego Padres and are short-prints. The Padres were conditionally sold and were going to be moved to the city of Washington, until Ray Kroc (he owner of McDonald's) purchased the club on January, 26 1974, in order to keep it in San Diego.  It was too late to change the design of 15 of the cards had "Washington Nat'l" listed as there team.  These cards were eventually changed in later print runs, making the Washington Variation cards scarcer than these same cards that listed the player's team as he San Diego Padres.
