1933 Goudey Indian Gum Near Complete Set - Premier

The 1933 Goudey Indian Gum Cards (R73) are perhaps some of the most complex non-sports cards issues of the 1930's. They were printed periodically from 1933-1940 by the Goudey Gum Co. of Boston, Massachusetts. The 1933 Goudey Indian Gum Complete Sets have a possible 216 cards, but are nearly impossible to find. The cards are numbered and measure 2 3/8 by 2 7/8 in size, but has 432 cards when all of the variations are considered.  

The colorful Goudey Indian Gum Set was released from 1933 to 1940 and tells the history of the American west with cards featuring chiefs, warriors, soldiers, and telling about various tribes, rituals and battles. The cards are numbered from 1 to 216, but the card backs indicate a possible of 8 different series sizes. The Indian Gum cards numbered 110 to 152 weren't initially released. Goudey later released these cards and reused the artwork from cards #1 through #24. As a result, the Indian Gum Set has 216 differently numbered cards, but only 192 different pictures. The 1933 Goudey Indian Gum variations that state series of 288 cards are the toughest to find.
