This is a 1933 Gum Inc. Wild West Series Complete Set - Premier which means that this set contains the highest grade of each card that we have available in our million card inventory.
The 1937 Wild West Series contains 49 cards, although card #25 is a bonus card, and is not considered part of the standard set. These 2 3/8" by 3 1/8" cards depict various Western scenes on the front with a stripe on the bottom of the card mentioning the "Picture Puzzle Bubble Gum", and were produced by the Goudey Gum Inc. For cards #1-24, this stripe is red, and cards from the remainder of the set have a blue stripe.
The cards in the 1937 Wild West Series Type 1 have a unique design of curved red lines on the back encouraging young collectors to cut along the lines to make the cards into a puzzle, while Type 2 cards were offered without the puzzle backs.
