This 1979-80 Topps Hockey Near Complete Set contains many of the possible 263 / 264 cards from this set, and contains one of the greatest modern hockey cards of all time - the Wayne Gretzky card, which holds the bulk of the value in this set. These cards were also a departure from the traditional white border hockey cards, and contain a bright blue border.
This set excludes the Gretzky card, in order to keep the cost of the set more reasonable, and his card may be added to any collection as a collector's budget allows.
This set also contains the final card for some of the greatest players in the game including Gordie Howe and Bully Hull.
