This 1966 Topps Minnesota Twins Near AUTOGRAPHED Team Set has most of the baseball cards containing the stats of the 1965 American League Champions. It was definitely the year of the Twins. The Twins won 102 games and captured the Twin Cities first pennant, only to lose the 7th game of the World Series to Sandy Koufax and the Dodgers. Zolio Versalles won the A.L. MVP, Tony Oliva won the Batting Championship with a.321 average and Mudcat Grant was the TSN Pitcher of the Year, with a 21-7 record and a 3.30 ERA.
In order to keep the cost of this set down, several of the high number cards are not included.
