1963 Salada Metal Coins
The 1963 set of Salada-Junket Coins consisted of 63 coins depicting the “All Stars” and top players of the day. Although the 1962 Salada-Junket coins were made of plastic, the 1963 Salada-Junket coins were made of metal and measured a little larger 1-1/2” in diameter. While the National League players have red around the rim, the American League players are rimmed in blue. The fronts contain only a color picture of the player, while the text on the back list the player name, position, team name, and statistics.
