Famous Slugger Yearbook

Famous Slugger Yearbook was published annually from 1927 through 1978 by Hillerich and Bradsby as a means to advertise and promote their Louisville Slugger bats. Famous Slugger Yearbooks featured loads of photos of famous “sluggers” of the day as well as their bats. In the 20's and 30's these pocket-sized yearbooks measured 3.5" by 5.5". From 1939 on they are a slightly larger booklet size of 4.5" X 6.5". Each issue from the 30's and 40's promises tips on batting, and later yearbooks feature articles such as "How to Be a Better Hitter" by Ted Williams (1968) and "So You Want to Hit!" by Harry Walker (1966).
