The 1955 Topps Doubleheaders Baseball Card Set consists of 66 cards, each with two players. When folded the cards measure 2-1/16” by 4-7/8”. When the flap is opened, another player is revealed. Each of the Doubleheader cards feature two players from the first series of the regular 1955 Topps set. The 1955 Topps Doubleheader cards borrow the design first implemented in the T201 Mecca set.
The 1955 Topps Doubleheaders are each numbered, with two consecutive numbers per card. The player with the odd number is seen when the flap is open. When the flap on the card is closed, the player with the even number is formed, using the same legs. When placed side-by-side, in reverse numerical order, the 1955 Topps Doubleheader cards combine to form a complete ballpark. The back of the cards contain a short bio for both players, along with their statistics.
