1954 Dan-Dee Potato Chips
The 1954 Dan Dee Potato Chip Baseball Cards were distributed in bags of potato chips. The 1954 Dan Dee Baseball Cards are unnumbered, measure approximately 2 1/2" x 3 5/8". The 29 card set depicts players from the Indians, Pirates, Yankees, Dodgers, Cardinals and Giants. The 1954 Dan Dee cards of Walker Cooper, Paul Smith and Frank Thomas were short-printed.
The 1954 Dan Dee cards were inserted directly into the bags with no protection, so most are tarnished by grease stains, making this a very condition sensitive set for collectors. When grading the 1954 Dan Dee cards, stains are given more grace than with the gum issues. Most stains will be considered as minor stains and reduce the condition of the card by one grade.
